WHAT IS UNIPROCA
Goat Producers' Union, UNIPROCA, is a company under a Cooperative form, founded in 2010 thanks to the idea and initiative of José Manuel Sanz Timón, veterinary and livestock farmer from Extremadura with a professional practice in Toledo, in response to the terrible situation of the sector.
At the present, more than 600 farmers make up Uniproca (May 2015 data), the largest first-degree Goat Cooperative in Spain, with a volume collection which already exceeds 30 million litres per year, which are achieved thanks to the 15 collection routes spread over 9 provinces in Spain and 12 collection centres, 7 provincial and 5 regional sub-centres.
Selling
At the moment, UNIPROCA sells its products on domestic and international markets.
UNIPROCA farmers have their own quality department that advises them on continuous improvement of milk parameters produced in their farms.
Payment scheme: The milk payment is made about the 25th of the following month, and the price varies depending on the degree of Cheese Extract from each farmer.
Sampling is performed by the collector and is sealed with a security label, ensuring that this is analysed in the L.I.L.C.A.M. laboratory (Dairy Interprofessional Laboratory of Castilla La Mancha) accredited by the National Accreditation Body.
